Kevin J. Collins

Kevin J. Collins has distinguished himself as an authority on legal and investment banking matters and as a leader in environmental preservation and education advocacy. He coordinated financing to clean up the Delaware and Hackensack rivers and the Chesapeake and Delaware bays. As chair of the New Jersey Commission on the Outdoors, he oversaw the preservation of hundreds of thousands of acres of public park land. As treasurer of the Palisades Interstate Park Commission, he helped to secure invaluable Sterling Forest watershed properties for posterity. Collins is retired from the international banking firm First Boston Corporation, where he was managing director and a member of the operating committee. He received national acclaim as adviser to the Emergency Financial Control Board during the New York fiscal crisis in 1975. He has lectured on law, finance, and public policy at the most prestigious business schools in the country. He has been chair of the Rutgers Board of Governors and Board of Trustees, and the Rutgers University Foundation Board of Overseers.
