Alumni are invited to attend Rutgers Takes the Garden State, an ongoing series of events to be held throughout New Jersey.

More than 367,000 Rutgers graduates call New Jersey home. (If you’re keeping score, that’s almost 58 percent of our total of more than 600,400 alumni worldwide.)

To bring together members of this robust alumni community, the Rutgers University Foundation is hosting an ongoing series of events statewide throughout 2025 and into 2026. From indoors to outdoors, sporting events to theme parks, and arts and cultural experiences, these gatherings are designed to help alumni connect with their Rutgers family across the Garden State.

“These events are a marvelous opportunity for the Rutgers nation that exists in the state of New Jersey to have fun and network,” says Scott Owens CCAS'04, GSC'10, associate vice president of engagement for the Rutgers University Foundation. “We look forward to making many connections through Rutgers Takes the Garden State gatherings.”

The series began in December with events at an NHL hockey game and a holiday performance in Newark and continued in February with events at Adventure Aquarium in Camden and Liberty Science Center in Jersey City.
