During his nearly 50-year career in pediatric cardiac surgery, Constantine Mavroudis achieved international recognition for his expertise in complex congenital heart repairs, coronary artery surgery in children, and other highly demanding medical challenges.

Having served as an assistant federal public defender and federal judge, including as a United States Magistrate Judge and United States District Court Judge, the Hon. Esther Salas turned tragedy into a means of civic change through her determined advocacy for federal and state legislation to ensure greater security protections for all judges.
