Professor Benjamin Nathans (University of Pennsylvania) will discuss his Pulitzer Prize-winning new book, To the Success of Our Hopeless Cause: The Many Lives of the Soviet Dissident Movement. Nathans will explore the ideas, people, and politics that animated resistance to the twentieth century’s longest-lived experiment in totalitarian rule.
