Rutgers Law Alumni Networking Reception: "Contracting for Human Rights" CLE

Join us for an evening of networking with fellow Rutgers alumni from 6-8 p.m. and a CLE program running from 6:40 to 7:40 p.m., offering 1 CLE credit (NJ, PA & NY approved). The evening will begin and end with our Alumni Networking Reception — a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with classmates, meet fellow graduates, and strengthen your Rutgers Law connections. We’re grateful to Beveridge & Diamond for generously providing beer, wine, and hors d’oeuvres for the evening.

*Please see below for accreditation details.

About the program: Contracting for Human Rights
Professor Sarah Dadush leads the Responsible Contracting Project (RCP), a non-profit initiative housed inside the Rutgers Center for Corporate Law and Governance. RCP's mission is to drive better outcomes for people and the planet through better, more responsible contracts. Responsible contracts commit both buyers and suppliers to work together to uphold human rights and environmental standards across the supply chain. This session will explain the "what, why, and how" of responsible contracting, highlighting certain legal compliance issues affecting companies doing business in the US and the European Union. Please register to receive credit.

About the Speaker
Sarah Dadush, Professor of Law
Professor Dadush writes and teaches in the areas of contracts, business and human rights, remedies, consumer law, and social enterprise law. Her scholarship explores hard and soft law mechanisms for improving the social and environmental performance of multinational corporations. Read more about her work here.

*Rutgers Law School is an approved New Jersey (418) and Pennsylvania (824) continuing legal education provider. As such, our programs also qualify for New York CLE credit pursuant to the New York Approved Jurisdiction policy. Rutgers Law School does not seek direct accreditation of live programs or webinars in other states. However, many states allow attorneys to earn credit through reciprocity or self-submission. Attorneys must research CLE rules and request accreditation from their respective states. Rutgers Law School will provide proof of attendance.
