Natalie L. Morales

Natalie Morales is cohost of The Talk, the Daytime Emmy Award-winning CBS talk show that examines topical events and contemporary issues. Morales joined the program in November of 2021. Prior to that, she was a national correspondent on NBC’s popular Today show starting in 2006. In 2007, she was named a co-anchor of the show’s fourth hour. Before signing on with Today, Morales was an anchor and correspondent at MSNBC since March 2002. In these national roles, she contributed to news coverage of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino and the 2004 Summer Games in Athens, as well as several major breaking news stories including Hurricane Katrina and recovery efforts, the Tsunami disaster, the passing of Pope John Paul II, the 2004 Presidential election, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the Columbia space shuttle explosion. Morales’ career began in local news; she was a morning co-anchor and correspondent at NBC’s WVIT in Hartford, Connecticut. She also co-hosted and reported for the Emmy-nominated documentary Save Our Sound, a joint production with WNBC-TV New York about preserving the Long Island Sound. Morales, who speaks Spanish and Portuguese, was born in Taiwan and spent much of the first 18 years of her life living overseas in Panama, Brazil, and Spain as a self-proclaimed “Air Force brat.” She graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and Latin American studies and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
