Ralph Izzo

Ralph Izzo is a national leader on the front lines of industry’s urgent search for cleaner, more sustainable energy. He uses his high-profile position at PSEG, a publicly-traded diversified energy company based in Newark, to shine a spotlight on global climate change as it impacts our state, the nation, and the world. Izzo has been chairman, president, and CEO of PSEG (Public Service Enterprise Group) since 2007, after holding executive positions within PSEG’s family of companies since 1992. PSEG, whose annual revenues are more than $13 billion, was ranked fourth on Fortune magazine’s 2009 “World’s Most Admired Companies” list in the electric and gas industry. In 2007, NJBIZ named PSEG New Jersey Corporation of the Year for its financial stability, leadership on environmental issues, and commitment to the state. Izzo is also well known in the public-policy arena. In the 1980s, he served New Jersey Governor Thomas Kean as a senior public policy adviser, specializing in energy, science, and technology. He also served in the office of former U.S. Senator Bill Bradley as an American Physical Society Congressional Science Fellow. Among the many organizations that also have benefited from Izzo’s service are the Center for Energy Workforce Development, New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, and New Jersey Utilities Association.
