Rutgers alumnus Peter Seligmann—a leader in environmental conservation—credits the university with giving him his start.
As founder of Conservation International, Peter Seligmann works with luminaries like actor Harrison Ford to protect oceans, forests, and other living ecosystems. Through Conservation International, Seligmann, a class of 1972 agriculture graduate who was awarded an honorary doctorate from Rutgers in 2003, has helped protect more than 2 million square miles of land and sea across more than 70 countries.
